Design Should be Fun
Frolic is an interior design firm focused on curating spaces that embrace character, color, and balance. Our goal is to get to know our clients and the spaces that inspire them, and then create a conceptual narrative and ultimately a cohesive design that resonates as a whole.
Frolic is based in the belief that design should be fun and that sophisticated spaces can also exhibit joy. We work to honor our clients’ individual needs alongside the inherent (or aspirational) character of their project.

Featured Work
Allie Armour, NCIDQ is the owner & principal designer at Frolic. She approaches each project with an open mind and aims to get a clear understanding of who her clients are in order to help create a space that reflects and celebrates them. Materials, forms, and movement through a space are some of the key considerations in every project, especially this small but bright family kitchen. The goal here was to be playful with color and texture while emphasizing light and cleanliness. The custom island added functional workspace and storage, while integrating seamlessly with the original character of the home.
Design Process
Every project is unique, so we tailor our approach as needed with individual design proposals.
I. Discovery
First, we gather information about the project, the clients, and their end goals. This informs the design narrative to establish initial design styles and serve as an anchor point throughout the project.
II. Design
Initial drawings and selections happen during this phase. Once those decisions are all confirmed, finalized construction drawings, specifications, and schedules are completed and distributed to the team.
III. Construction
We will make regular site visits in coordination with contractors and architects to help ensure your design is realized clearly. Along the way we provide progress updates and help to resolve design issues that may arise.
IV. Furniture
Once we have a clear idea of the final layouts, finishes, and fixtures, we can move into the furniture phase. Furniture options are presented, selected, and (if desired) we can manage ordering and delivery services.
V. Follow Up
We value client feedback and make sure to take an extra moment to check in once everything is complete to ensure that the design is functioning as intended.
